Overview of Parasympathetic Innervation Diagram

Parasympathetic innervation originates from cranial nerves (III, VII, IX, X) and sacral S2-S4. Preganglionic fibers synapse in terminal ganglia near targets for “rest and digest” functions: pupil constriction, salivation, lacrimation, digestion, bladder contraction.
