Course of the Superior Epigastric Artery Diagram

The superior epigastric artery (from internal thoracic) descends in rectus sheath, anastomoses with inferior epigastric, supplying rectus abdominis and anterior abdominal wall. It forms part of Hesselbach’s triangle boundary.
