Brain diagram

The human brain is an incredibly complex organ, made up of billions of neurons that communicate through electrical and chemical signals to control everything we do. It is typically divided into three main parts: the cerebrum, the cerebellum, and the brainstem. The cerebrum, the largest portion, is responsible for higher functions like thinking, memory, language, and voluntary movement, and is split into two hemispheres that each contain four lobes with specialized roles. Beneath it, the cerebellum helps coordinate balance, posture, and fine motor skills, ensuring our movements are smooth and precise.

The brainstem, which connects the brain to the spinal cord, manages vital automatic functions such as breathing, heart rate, and digestion. Together, these structures work seamlessly to process information, respond to the environment, and maintain the body’s internal balance.
