Kaposi’s sarcoma lesions appear as purple-red plaques or nodules on skin, mucosa, or viscera, caused by HHV-8 in immunocompromised like AIDS patients, proliferating spindle cells with vascular slits leaking red cells for color. Classic form affects elderly men legs slowly, endemic African aggressive, iatrogenic post-transplant, epidemic AIDS-related widespread and rapid until ART control. They may ulcerate or bleed, internal causing pain or obstruction.
